One of the finest hotels in Charleston, South Carolina. Charleston Place is ranked among the "Top 10 Hotels in North America" by Condé Nast Traveler. Charleston Place evokes the feeling of a grand, 17th century residence from the Italian marble lobby with its signature Georgian Open Arm staircase and 12-foot crystal chandelier to lush personal suites. Charleston Place is centrally located, surrounded by historic homes and buildings and within strolling distance of antique shops, galleries and restaurants. It is located only 12 miles from Charleston International Airport. The AVF has secured a block of rooms at a special discounted rate of $245.00 per night. These rates are subject to state and local taxes currently totaling 12.5%. There will be an addition $25.00 for a third person sharing a double room. Children under 18 years of age may share the same room with parents at no additional charge. Check-in time is 4:00 p.m., with room assignment prior to this time subject to availability. Check-out time is 12:00pm. Upon check-in, the departure date is confirmed. Changes to that departure date are subject to a $50 'early departure' fee. To guarantee your reservation, it must be accompanied by a two-night deposit. We recommend making your hotel reservations early. The group rate will be available until January 18th or as soon as the block is sold out. The discounted rate cannot be guaranteed after January 18th, 2008. Individual deposits will be required and are fully refundable if cancelled 72 hours priorto arrival. Airport and Transfers - Charleston International Airport is located 10 miles from the resort, and is served by all major airlines. Courtesy Shuttle Services: Located outside the airport terminal are a number of courtesy shuttle services. Approximately $25.00 - $30.00 each way; multiple stops; no reservations required. Taxi: Service is available from the terminals for approximately $35.00 each way. Rental Cars: Avis or Enterprise rental cars are available for pick up or drop off at the property.
